Happy Never After Grades will always change/age is just an age/and no one knows you better Teach a lesson never learned/so tired of being burned/can’t escape my anger A student lost in time/victim of a crime/and nobody knew better Age is just a cage/where novelty remains/happy never after We will always be/unhappily never after A spirit lost in time/a victim of a crime/and nobody knew better I was lost and never found/you never came around/and I never knew better Another lost in time/a victim of a crime/and nobody knew whether Rage is just a cage/where novelty remains/happy never after We will always be together you and me happy never after Grades will always change/age is just your rage/and nobody knows better Teach a lesson never learned/tired of being burned/can’t conceal my anger A student lost in time/the victim of a crime/and nobody knew better Age is just a cage/where novelty remains/happy never after

Woke World 02:38
Woke World There was a time/i could walk down the street/and wink to a passerby There was a time/I could flirt with a girl/and they in turn replied There was a time/I could offer a hand/and no one said a word There was a time/ I could act like a man/but now its just absurd Cause we’re living in a woke world Destroying statues/denying history We’re living in a woke world/a cancel culture Go back to your misery There was a time/i could open a door/for a lady walking through Now its a crime/masculinity fails/its the toxic thing to do There was a time/I could joke with a friend/and laugh like buddies will Now its a crime/sensitivity wails/is it time to take your pill? And if I ask you nicely/what’s your sign/you say i’ve gone too far And then you tell your boss/this guys a creep/I’m going down to HR

Heads off to Ben Gardner Fresh off the war and the Fall of Saigon The summer folks ahead were not prepared With lines ‘round the corner a half mile long The faint of heart were running scared Below the surface where the murky oceans simmer The shallow waters served the Kitner boy for dinner Down in the blue, off the shores of the vineyard Lies a boat, Not afloat A shot-glass tooth Left behind by a ruthless killer In Gardner’s boat Ben Gardner’s boat Heads off to Ben Gardner The onlookers watched with their car keys handy Projectors rolled throughout the heat No appetite for popcorn or for candy As spectators jumped up from their seat The crowd was intense with their heart rate throbbing At the sight of the head out of nowhere bobbing

The End Defined Nearly died of a heart-attack When i thought you weren’t coming back Based on my track record dear Doesn’t seem so long ago We were happy just getting old Truth is never what you’re told now is it dear Nearly died when I lost it all/all defines the end Barely tried but i won it all/all defines the end Nearly won but i lost it all Could’ve run when it got too cold Truth is never what you’re sold now is it dear Doesn’t seem so long ago We were happy, fat, and old Truth is never what I told you is it dear?

about

After the big war, everyone came home to Waterbury. Everyone in Waterbury got a job. Everyone in Waterbury got married. Everyone in Waterbury had 2.2 children.
Every one of those children growing up in Waterbury watched four English guys playing songs and everyone in Waterbury fell in love with music. Everyone in Waterbury bought records. Music was everything in Waterbury.

Records passed from older siblings to younger siblings to nieces and nephews and to the next generation of the people of Waterbury. Each new band in Waterbury pushed music in wonderfully weird and intense directions as the years went by. Then Waterbury changed.

Waterbury saw the jobs leave. Waterbury saw death. Waterbury saw divorce. Waterbury saw families and friends move away. Waterbury grew cold. Waterbury grew lonesome. Now, as most music lovers drive past Exit 22 Bank Street, they think they need something more. They gave up on Waterbury. Waterbury is just a memory of a life left behind. They jumped into their GTO with seatbelts unfastened. Here we go, They left Lacy behind for a life unhappily ever after.
Riddled with HR department complaints, rerun movie channels and non-demanding lovers, they ponder if Waterbury was all they ever really wanted.

The good news is this was not the end defined for Waterbury. No, indeed Waterbury lives on. In October of 2022, one single needle was dropped on one single record and the spirit was rekindled. Somewhere in the attics, basements, and garages of Waterbury Gibson G strings were getting retuned. Fender amplifiers and big bastard Ampegs started warming up again. Records started spinning. Hope, creativity, inspiration, and love are alive again inside the hearts and minds of all those who still call Waterbury home.

Twenty years later James Jude joins the band bringing songwriting, vocals, and guitar abilities to the fold.
